Mark Schaller

My research has focused primarily on motivational systems and their influence on person perception, prejudice, social cognition, social influence, and interpersonal behavior. In doing so, I've been exploring bigger, broader questions about the influence of human evolutionary history on psychological processes in contemporary contexts, and about the impact of psychological processes on human culture.

Primary Interests:

  • Attitudes and Beliefs
  • Culture and Ethnicity
  • Evolution and Genetics
  • Interpersonal Processes
  • Person Perception
  • Prejudice and Stereotyping
  • Social Cognition
